To test webhooks locally, the sender needs a public HTTPS URL and you need to see exactly what it sent. SyncYak Tunnel gives you both: syncyak http 3000 puts your handler on a public address, and the request inspector keeps every request and response, headers and bodies included, for your plan’s window.

Set the webhook URL once with a reserved name, and it keeps working every morning when you start the tunnel again.

How it works

Receive webhooks on localhost in three steps

  1. Install the syncyak CLI

    Download it for Windows, macOS or Linux from your Tunnel console, then save your token once with syncyak config add-authtoken.

  2. Forward a port

    Run syncyak http 3000. The CLI prints a public HTTPS address that forwards to http://localhost:3000.

  3. Share it or keep it

    Send the address to anyone, paste it into a webhook setting, or reserve a name so it stays the same tomorrow.

A webhook testing tool that keeps the evidence

Webhook bugs are usually about the payload: a field you did not expect, a signature header, a retry. The inspector lists method, path, status and duration for each request, with the full request and response, so you can compare what arrived with what your code did.

One webhook URL that survives restarts

Re-entering a new URL in every provider after each restart wastes time. Reserve a name such as hooks-yourname.syncyak.live on a paid plan and configure it once in Stripe, GitHub, your CRM or a SyncYak Parse inbox.

Can I see the webhook payload?

Yes. The inspector shows each request’s headers and body and the response your app sent.

How long are requests kept?

For your plan’s inspector window: hours on Free, longer on Hobby, Pro and Business.

Will my provider accept the URL?

The address is HTTPS with a valid certificate, which webhook senders require.

Is there a free plan for Tunnel?

Yes. Tunnel has a free tier with no card and no end date: 1 tunnel, random subdomain, 2 gb a month. Paid tiers start at $8 a month, and you can move up or down at any time.

Can I use the other SyncYak products on the same account?

Yes. Email parsing, the mailbox API, CRM sync, error tracking and tunnels share one login, one team, one API key system and one bill. Each product has its own tier, so you only pay more for the one that grows.
